Those who plan to buy a house in Marbella have plenty of options. Marbella is not just a beautiful town (Marbella City Center) of ideal size and a perfect microclimate, with its traditional old town, its promenade and the famous Marbella Golden Mile —home to impressive villas, shops and luxury restaurants.
The extensive Marbella municipality stretches along 27 kilometers of coastline and includes areas and towns such as:
Puerto Banús, the center of Marbella’s nightlife, famous for its restaurants and luxury shopping;
Nueva Andalucía, the inner area of Puerto Banús, with Los Naranjos, Las Brisas and Atalaya golf courses;
San Pedro de Alcántara, a lively town with a spectacular promenade;
Guadalmina Alta and Guadalmina Baja, plenty of luxury villas around its famous golf course;
and the extensive area of Marbella East, with the best beaches in the region and excellent golf clubs (Santa María, Santa Clara, Río Real, Cabopino, Marbella Club).

MARBELLA CITY CENTER
The busy Ricardo Soriano avenue, full of shops, restaurants, lively cafés and services of all kinds, is the heart of Marbella.
Just to the north we find the picturesque Marbella Old Town, with its alleys, its traditional white houses, its designer shops, typical restaurants and bars, all around its main feature, the beautiful Plaza de los Naranjos.
Between the old town and the beach we find the emblematic Alameda Park, facing Avenida del Mar, with a collection of impressive open-air sculptures by Salvador Dalí.
The modern promenade stretches along the beach up to Puerto Banús and is lined by elegant apartment buildings, luxury beach bars, restaurants, hotels, shops and the tiny marina.
The yacht pier is surrounded by a popular set of restaurants and bars, one of the main nightlife attractions in the city center. In short, Marbella City Center has it all: luxury restaurants (some of them boasting a Michelin star), shops of all kinds and the most varied services.
MARBELLA GOLDEN MILE
Marbella Golden Mile, its most exclusive area, is actually a 6.5 kilometer stretch of avenue that connects Marbella City Center with Puerto Banús. Marbella Golden Mile showcases a long line of exclusive beachfront villas and apartments, as well as elegant residential inland areas, with luxury villas.
Marbella Golden Mile is home to two of the most famous hotels in Europe, Marbella Club and Puente Romano Hotel & Spa, both with gourmet bars and restaurants.
Nearby we find luxurious residential areas, such as Las Lomas del Marbella Club, Altos de Puente Romano and Lomas del Rey. Further inland, we find residential areas of luxury villas, such as Nagüeles, Sierra Blanca, Cascada de Camoján, Cortijo de Nagüeles and La Quinta de Sierra Blanca. Located on high ground, these areas offer spectacular panoramic views of the sea.
These urbanizations are just a few minutes drive from all services in Marbella Golden Mile: from the Suite nightclub and the Puente Romano Sea Grill to boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, beach clubs and supermarkets.
On the sea side we find residential areas such as Río Verde, with beachfront villas and apartment blocks. Also, within a 10 minute drive, we find a wide choice of golf and tennis clubs, as well as international schools.

PUERTO BANÚS
Puerto Banús, the most famous leisure area of Marbella, is synonymous with luxury. The marina of Puerto Panús displays an impressive amount of yachts, high-end automobiles, high-end jewelry, luxurious fashion stores, as well as restaurants, beach clubs and a vibrant nightlife.
Puerto Banús is also a residential area, with luxurious apartment complexes located one step away from leisure areas, as well as villas, all a short walk from the beach: Alcazaba de Río Verde, Playas del Duque, Malibu, Ventura del Mar, Los Granados, Las Gaviotas…
In the marina itself, a large complex of elegant whitewashed apartments embodies the most characteristic image of Puerto Banús.
The area also houses the emblematic Spanish mall El Corte Inglés, with several clothing plants, luxury accessories, home decoration and electronic products. Just across the road we find Marina Banús, one of the area’s various shopping malls, with a multiplex cinema, art galleries, restaurants, and a summer night market.
NUEVA ANDALUCÍA
Nueva Andalucía is a luxury residential area with 3 important golf courses, which extends inland from Puerto Banús. It is a large green area, home to modern villas, Mediterranean-style houses, elegant townhouses and apartments.
Nueva Andalucía houses some of the best golf courses in Marbella, such as Las Brisas, Los Naranjos and Aloha Golf, which together form the famous Golf Valley. Around these, we find urbanizations such as Alminar de Marbella, Atalaya de Rio Verde, Aloha, Las Brisas del Golf, La Cerquilla, Las Lomas de Nueva Andalucía, Los Naranjos or Los Olivos.
Nueva Andalucía includes services such as the Centro Plaza shopping center, shops, supermarkets, lively restaurants and bars, an excellent international school, clinics and sports clubs.
In any case, the services of Puerto Banús, such as El Corte Inglés, Hipercor and Marina Banús, are just a 2-3 minute drive away.

SAN PEDRO DE ALCÁNTARA
San Pedro de Alcántara, attractive town located in the territory of Marbella, offers different areas to buy a house.
In San Pedro town itself, we find traditional houses and apartments in lively streets full of bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets…
On the sea side, below the boulevard, the largest area is Nueva Alcántara, with modern apartment blocks and a few villas. Just east of Nueva Alcántara we find Cortijo Blanco, and west, Linda Vista, both of them areas of villas and townhouses.
The three areas face the well kept promenade, with a great offer of quality beach bars and restaurants. We also find highly reputable schools such as Laude San Pedro International College and Calpe International School.
San Pedro de Alcántara is just a 5 minute drive from Puerto Banús, 12 from Marbella City Center and 2-10 minutes from various golf courses.
GUADALMINA ALTA
Guadalmina is one of the best known luxury residential areas of Marbella and Guadalmina Alta is the inland zone, above the N-340 national road. Here the villas line the streets of the prestigious Guadalmina Royal Golf Club —and Atalaya Golf Club is located just 1 minute drive away.
As for services, Guadalmina Alta has the Guadalmina Shopping Center, with a Supersol supermarket, restaurants and shops.
Being located next to San Pedro de Alcántara town, residents in the area have all kinds of services within a 2-minute drive: shopping centers, supermarkets, restaurants, etc.
Guadalmina Alta is a 6-minute drive from Puerto Banús and 14 from Marbella City Center.
GUADALMINA BAJA
One of the most exclusive residential areas in Marbella, Guadalmina Baja is famous for its elegant luxury villas. In its quiet and well kept territory we find also townhouses and some apartment blocks.
The townhouses of Guadalmina Baja are lined up along the streets of the Real Guadalmina Golf Club, the only one in Marbella reaching the beach itself. Here we find the Guadalmina Spa & Golf Resort, an important center of social life in the whole area.
As for services nearby, the Guadalmina Shopping Center houses restaurants, shops and supermarkets, and we also mention the San José school, one of the most prestigious in Marbella.
Since the area borders the town of San Pedro de Alcántara, the residents have all kinds of services within a 2 – 3 minute drive (bars, restaurants, supermarkets, shopping centers …). Guadalmina Baja is a 6 minute drive from Puerto Banús and 14 from Marbella City Center.
MARBELLA EAST
Marbella East is the place to buy luxury villas next to the golf or near some of the best beaches in Marbella. The area is home to important golf courses, with their respective residential areas, such as Río Real, Santa Clara or Cabopino. The prestigious Marbella Golf & Country Club and Santa María Golf complete the scene.
Some of the most famous beaches in the area are Los Monteros, Alicate, Las Chapas, Artola and Cabopino, with emblematic beach clubs, such as Nikki Beach. Along these we find luxurious residential areas such as Los Altos de los Monteros, Los Monteros Playa, El Rosario, Hacienda Las Chapas, Cerrado de Elviria, Cumbres de Elviria and Los Granados de Cabopino.
The area of Marbella East offers services of all kinds: restaurants, shopping centers (Elviria and El Rosario), supermarkets and luxury hotels (Don Carlos, Los Monteros …).
