Is it all about luxury in Puerto Banús?28 Aug, 2019 Manolo Alarcon

Traditionally, Puerto Banús has been a byword for luxury shops and restaurants, high-end cars, yatchs and, of course, high prices. In fact, the price of a square meter of real estate is close to € 5,000, and we are talking mainly about resales of traditional homes built a few decades ago.

Nevertheless, if you are looking for more “democratic” prices, you can surely find a number of places affordable for any pocket.

Take a break and enjoy a coffee or a hamburger and fries while you contemplate the display of glamour around you.

The bar area of Puerto Banús, located right on the street that runs parallel to the marina, is a lively spot, an epicenter of the Costa del Sol nightlife, becoming more and more popular every year. And if you want to go shopping, you can always choose El Corte Inglés, where you will find excellent value for money for nearly everything.

Puerto Banús is part of the extensive municipality of Marbella, but it constitutes an urban center on its own right.

Nueva Andalucía, located in the inner land closer to Puerto Banús, is an extensive residential area, home to two of the most prestigious golf courses in Costa del Sol (Los Naranjos and Las Brisas), distant a mere 5-10 minute drive from the marina.

The exclusive La Quinta, in Benahavis, is close by, and so are San Pedro de Alcántara (with its seaside residential area, Nueva Alcántara) and the eastern side of Estepona municipality, the New Golden Mile.

A maximum 10 minute drive separate these diverse residential areas from Puerto Banús, which is still the center of gravity of leisure and shopping in Costa del Sol. To buy a villa in Puerto Banus means having all kinds of options within a 5-10 minutes drive.
